We are the luckiest parents in the world, and so are you.
We spend every waking moment with our child.
Both of us work, so our son is in day care. He sometimes cries when going being dropped of at daycare which is heartbreaking. But he quickly gets over it.
We were lucky and have a wonderful affordable daycare near us.
They teach the kids very well. He learns structure, getting along with kids his age, they go for walks, play in the yard, make art everyday, and have in house outings.
Everyday we ask him what he did, or he just volunteers, "I played with my friends",
then names all of his friends.

Flag Day
Every day with our 2.5 year old is the best day of our life!
The things he says are astounding.
No professional writer could compete with a childs observations.
Our 2.5 year old has an obsession with flags, when he see's a flag
he always says loudly "Flag", and he will point & tell us he saw a Flag. You don't realize how many flags there are everywhere until he points all of them out.
He knows & says USA, Canada, England, Japan, & our state flag. He spots the smallest miniscule flag on a box that we'd never have noticed & he has to tell us he saw a flag & then show us the flag.
When we go shopping in stores we avoid the flag
aisle just as much as the toy aisle, because he wants to hold and wave the flag.
Then we end up buying the flag, or putting it back & tending to his curled up bottom lip and a lot of tears.
After the Boston Marathon terrorism that had occurred, the flags were all flying at half mast.
And as we drove past a flag at half mast he said,
"Flag not working".

If this is your first child be aware of the illness syndrome.
We personally were not for warned, or we were just being optimistic and thinking that our
little one would just always be happy and healthy.
Our son was born healthy, and remained so until we had to utilize a daycare facility.
He was soon riddled with colds, ear infections, frequent pediatric visits, all night monitoring, & hospitalization.
This will take a toll on you, emotionally, physically, and financially.
You will miss a lot of work, sleep, family functions.
You will be worried, A LOT, about regaining and remaining healthy.
But just remember, our health care system is good.
Most kids are resilient. The human body has fought these illnesses
forever and we are still winning the battle.
We were lucky, our son has beat the illnesses that he contracted, and he is once
again happy & healthy.
Its kind of strange that for a micro-organism to survive it has to wreak such havoc on
another living creature. The micro-organism in trying to procreate/survive can totally
upset the lives of intelligent, compassionate creatures.
